Business Tools for Social Change (10:30 - 12:30)

An energetic interactive Board Game.  What would you do, if you had to run a multi-national business? What choices would you make and where would you compromise?  Is doing the ‘right thing’ always contrary to making a profit, or can they co-exist and even benefit each other? Delegates found out if you’ve got what it takes!

Chain Reaction Interviews (12:30 - 13:30)

Personalising Social Change (13:30 - 15:00)

Being there – human beings being human, listening, comforting, supporting, mentoring – is the first line of support for the individual in need. The Council for Social Action has been looking at the power of one-to-one relationships in addressing pressing social issues of our day. This session was an opportunity to hear from inspiring case studies and explore how this model supports wide-reaching social change.

Drinks Reception and Networking and The Beacon Fellowship Awards (18:00 - 20:00)

Hosted by Martyn Lewis.  Now in its 5th year, the Beacon Fellowship and guests celebrated and awarded 6 outstanding philanthropic individuals who have made an exceptional contribution of time, money or skills to a charitable cause. An overall winner was announced on the night received £30,000 to invest in an innovative way to a charity of their choice. Six short films were premiered, produced by the Media Trust, featuring each winner and their work with their charity
