Programme Overview / Day One - 17 November / Day Two - 18 November
Collaborating with a range of delivery partners, and from suggestions received by our website users, we have developed a unique programme to enable participants to share their learning, and develop new ideas for social action, locally and globally.
The programme features a mixture of world class speakers and panel sessions, alongside practical workshops, facilitated ‘open space’ conversations, inspirational films and participatory arts sessions, all designed so that throughout the two days participants can share their learning, network with new people, and develop their ideas.
Of course, we have only second guessed what you want to hear. The unique feature of Chain Reaction is that delegates can create their own agenda, organise and advertise their own meetings in the open space area, and drop into any of the sessions that are of interest.
At the event, we will be providing networking facilities to help you find the people you want to speak with, as well as support to help you take your ideas to the next level, and ideas that emerge online on our Ideas Box before the event, and ideas that emerge over the course of the two days, will have the opportunity to be worked up further at the event. Post your ideas to the Ideas Box now, or bring them to the event.
The venue has five different spaces
Main Space The main space is where each day of Chain Reaction will begin and end. In this space will be interactive debates, inspirational speakers, panel sessions, interviews and networking
Purple Space In this space will be panel discussions and practitioner conversations
Green Space In this space will be practical workshops
Blue Space In this space will be practical and creative workshops
Open Space Situated on the mezzanine, with a view over the main space area, the open space is the place to self organise, with space to meet, and a variety of networking sessions taking place over the two days. All catering will be served in this area, with lunch between 12:00 and 14:00 each day, tea and coffee available all day, and an evening drinks reception on each day.
Situated on London’s Southbank, The Room by the River is easily accessible by public transport, and is fully wheelchair accessible, and has a prayer room. Click here for more information on the venue, including full travel instructions and location map.
The venue is fully wi-fi accessible, and can cater for any dietary requirements, although we will need to know about these in advance. You can tell us any access requirements or dietary requirements you have when you register.
